    Kenner Tree Tots Catalog

One of the things I get a lot of Email about here is the Kenner Tree Tots line, "your friends from the magic forest" is a fondly remembered pre school series that captured kids imaginations in the late 1970s.

I personally remember the line well, being eight years of age at the time, it was first time in my life I regretted being too old to play with something, that feeling plagues me to this day.

1978 saw the line expand in fun but pretty illogical ways, including a roller coaster, light house and secret mountain fortress.

I got this toy sometime around when I was two or three (I think it was Xmas dec. '75, a month before my 3rd birthday), I adored this toy. Managed to hang onto it for a long time too, though after a few years I think the figures and furniture were all gone. Later on it became a treehouse for Chewbacca in my play adventures, lol.

Very cool! I remember that toy well - I'm almost positive my nieces still play with that little spotted dog when they're over at my folks house - and that car might still be around.

I'm pretty sure this toy factored into my early Star Wars days too - it was one of those toys that I think was around a long time.

My cousin Kaila had this when she was 3. We would play together when I went to her house. She was adamant that it was called Tree Tops.

Didn't they turn that tree into an Ewok playset?
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Something about these seems vaguely familiar. Like I played with one in the church nursery or something.

Is it just me, or does the design of the figures seem a lot like the modern Fisher-Price Little People?

We had that tree, and I thought the pop-up action was cool as hell. No wonder I could never find it on searches, I thought it was a little people piece.

The first time I saw the Ewoks set I immediately thought of the green version. Did the same company make them, or are they just really similar? We just got rid of a ton of LP stuff, and I'd swear that car mold is still in play.

Remember how much I enjoyed playing with this and my favorite was the little red headed girl.
Would love to get her but they seem pricey for a small figure.

I had the original tree house set and still do sorta, it was bought for me by my grandmother and kept at her house for me to play with when I was there.
Now she has her ways and anything like that she ever bought from 60 some odd years ago when she married is still there and so is my tree tots set.
Everytime I played with it and got done it went back in the original box and went back on the shelf where it still sits today and will continue to sit there aslong as she is still kicking.
My aunt is 10 years older than me and I know for a fact there is also a dresser drawer half full of matchbox and redline hot wheels that were bought for her in the 60s cause I played with them as a kid during visits.
