No , but I would like to see it.
nothing makes a movie look so good as a bad remake.
I read teh comic adaption and at the end he accepts teh offer of a Bullet Proof vest from the Badguy, but he paints a skull on it. Wonder if it was filmed?

THere are some extra little things in there that make it a little better. I think there's some more flashback stuff and some extended fights. I really liked this movie despite the criticism. I also liked War Zone. I must not have high standards cause those two films are generally disliked. The acting in War Zone by the villains was laughable, but the fights and gore made it a winner for me.

We're kind of on the same page, I was thinking it would be cool if 15 or 16 minutes was Jane beating the crap out of Travolta

Yeah, I have the extended cut on DVD. Most of the extra material is simply what was already seen in the deleted scenes section of the theatrical cut DVD... including a few scenes showing Frank's cop buddy getting tangled up with the mobsters because of his gambling problems, etc.

It does contain an interesting animated prologue showing Frank and his unit in Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm.

My bad. I thought we were talking about the Dolph Lungen one.

With 17 extra minutes of him sitting naked in the sewer with shoe dye in his hair.

It was fun.

War Zone looked good. I loved the Bomb Squad bullet Proof vest. It had the right look. Too much so. I quit reading Punisher because of The Death of Micro. It just got too nasty for me . War Zone was my first action gore film. I hadnt seen that kind of gore in a gunfight before. Then I saw the latest Rambo:skull::skull::skull:

I like extreme gore in Zombie films becuse it's fantasy, can't handle it in shoot em ups.
I think Punisher going MORE hardcore is the direction to go with him both in films and books but I can't go along right now.

War Zone looked good.

Trust me, the only good thing about that film was the guy that played the Punisher. The villains ruined it for me. They were just flat-out goofballs, caricatures of better movie criminals.

What??? Well you never read the books then didn't you??

This is what kills me about the "general public" they have NO clue about something and they don't realize that that character WAS a part of the history...BTW Jigsaw is Punisher's arch villian and it's beat some Yakuza from the first film and some Gang Leader wanna be from the second film..Do more homework next time and you'll see that they got the characters RIGHT this time! Most of the people that I know that actually know the characters and read the books know that they got it right this time...I met someone is going to complain about the upcoming Thor,Green Lantern & Captain America movies coming out this year too....

Yeah, Punisher, War Journal, War Zone, and the Max stuff. At the time, I didn't think it was that campy. Apart from the Russian and Ma Gnucci, but Ennis was going for humor. Loony Bin Jim was like Chop Top in "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2"--he couldn't have been funnier if they tried.

yeah. Travolta was the one thing I did not like about the movie. He is just not convincing as a bad guy.

I liked War Zone but i thought the violence was a little too over the top though. I mean punching his fist through the guys face??? fun to watch but come on

That's what the punisher was...And with all of his gizmo's he could have had some kinda brass knuckles in this glove...After all he is the Punisher...:smiley12:

With all this talk of Punisher, i watched War Zone again last night. Its not worst than the other two films, the villains do camp it up slightly and of course the violence is ultra.
I actually like the Dolph Lundgren Punisher film.

Now can anyone answer the original question. What is on the extra 17 minutes of Jane's Punisher?

The Lundgren one wasn't bad BUT when you add all 3 of them up War Zone is better because:

#1 It's more comic accurate when it comes to his character than the other 2 were
#2 yes it's more violent but it's more believable because that's what he does he punishes the guilty and you see it more in this film (Look at the opening)
#3 He actually has his arch villian in War Zone instead of two made up characeters in the first two films. And before you say it yes Kevin Nash played the Russian in the second movie but he was NOT a main villian for the punisher.

It's just my opinion but people are complaining about this is too gory this character was too goofy.... blah blah blah OK here's the low down it's a COMIC BOOK movie! this was was closer to the source material than the last two and people are complaining about it??? Wow! all of us that grew up with the characters that were made into movie's see how sometimes it's a hit or miss but when it's damn close the "general" public doesn't get it fine I get that but movies like that are not meant for you because you don't know the character and can appreciate what one that does get it over the ones that are made for the "general" public who don't have a clue and don't care....:drool_y:

The second punisher film was close to the source. Wish they had made the woman more mousie like Ennis.

I didnt like it when they went and killed Micro in the Comic and I didnt like it in teh film.
So yeah I know it's close. I still didnt like it. I didnt have a good time. I was expecting a Comic Book movie not a hard core horror film.

I say it was too gory cause I felt bad after seeing it. Untill the death of Micro I had collected every issue and nearly every apperance of teh Punisher. I had a fun time watching the first and second films. Not Travolta but the Neighbors .

Pretty much that. It's also unrated.
