That would have been either the most awesome toy ever, or the worst. Even as a kid, I wanted one.... but one that could actually swallow figures. (Had an unfortunate experiment with a cube-shaped Saran-Wrap monster filled with confetti once....)
The D&D line sure had some good stuff. SUPRISINGLY good stuff, considering the game was aimed at older folks, and the toys were hot on the heels of the "it's evil!" flap.
