    Mattel Thingmaker

Any other fans of the mattel thingmaker?

Some may remember the Creepy Crawlers line, but Mattel had quite a few molds, including Superman, Batman, Green Hornet, Tarzan. Heck, even Marx released Disney Molds to "be used with" the Thingmaker.

I've been collecting the molds and I have an oven, and have been playing with them on and off for the past year. They have a pretty neat "reproduction" community as well, in terms of suppliers of Goop.

Now, not so long ago, I picked up a Mattel Injector Western World set, which I've been DYING to play with... but I have yet to find a supply of the plastic slugs needed to use the injector with. (The original slugs, called PLASTIX)

Anybody have any experience with these toys or just want to share a thought or two?

I have seen those on Ebay from time to time and have been very tempted. Any chance you might post some pictures of ones you have made? I would love to see them.

I never knew that. I used to have 2 of them for my after school kids. I had extra molds of dinosaurs and large spiders. I wish I had superheroes.

I had a Creepy Crawlers maker as a kid, and I have one thingmaker mold that came in an old toy lot I got at an antique mall. It's metal and heavy!

Superman looks like a young Johnny Cash there!

            Hmmmm....

I had the Thingmaker 2 when I was a kid.... the cauldron-looking one. Good times. I think every kid could use an army of plastic bugs. (The only molds I had, but the only ones I really wanted.)

            ....and second degree burns....

These are all awesome toys. I have 2 for my kids and the old molds still work great. They love it.
