Is the book out yet???

I know I am anxious for the book...but I just got an email from Amazon that shipment of the book won't be until November 28th at the earliest. My question is has the book been released yet??? Have comic stores gotten it already??? Am I the only one that got the email about shipment being delayed?? Thanks for any help in this matter.

Amazon delay

I just got the same message from Amazon. I figure either the demand outweighed the supply (and they filled orders in the order received), or they do not have the book yet.

I received the same message. Hopefully, it is the case of demand being greater than supply.

I logged onto Amazon to confirm that I still wanted it but it looked like they cancelled my order. Did anyone else experience this?

I went ahead and ordered it again and figured if I end up with two books, I'll donate one at the next Mego Raffle.

I got the same email. I believe Benjamin did say that the book may end up being delayed a bit (due to issues beyond his control) so this is probably what it's about.

ok, i went to barnes and noble and borders and both stores didnt have the book. i asked their customer service desk and they looked it up and said that none of their stores or warehouses have the book as well meaning that it could be out of print was their interpretation which of course is impossible. so most probably there is a delay somewhere in the chain of production and the book didnt make the scheduled release date.

Hi guys,

I have new information, and I'm happy to assuage everyone's concern. The book is already en route from Hong Kong. It's on a slow boat, taking the very same journey our beloved Mego figures took, some 30 years ago. It takes about 4 weeks on the water.

According to my publisher, Diamond should have their copies on November 9th, putting them in most stores around November 21st. I understand the Amazon orders will come from Diamond's shipment. Charlie could probably give us an in-store ETA — for comic book shops — based on that info.

The hope and expectation is that everyone will have this book in time for Thanksgiving. That would certainly constitute my giving thanks this year.

I'll post here if anything changes. Thanks!

I got the same notice from Amazon. It said "BlueMeanie will not get his book until November 28th, but you'll be getting yours tomorrow, so play it cool and don't tell him."

Wow. Great news. Fours days off of work, all the food you can stand, all the football you can watch and a new mego book. Doesn't get any better than that!!

On a personal note, the book should be in hand when our daughter is born. On those sleepless nights I stay in the hospital with my wife, I can dive into Mego goodness!!!

I logged in to approve the delay today as well. Thankfully the wife checked her email, because she is listed as the account holder. Whew!
