I've had that damn toy on my radar for nearly 20 years now. One day I'll get that blasted thing.

I recently picked up one of those Godzilla 12" costume figures from another member here (the Takara), but I don't believe it's the classic Godzilla. The Micromans are cool as well.

My brother sent me the link to the doc earlier today, partway through it now.

That was a later RAH version of the Goji costume. There have been a couple. The earliest one is still a bit tough to come by and the deluxe version with combat joe and two portraits (heads) is the one to find. All of them are pretty darn cool.

I think the seller in that link has been trying to sell that same Takara Goji for 20 years. Maybe if he had a 50% off sale.

I don't think there's a way I could ever afford to drop that much money on a toy - but if I could that would be the one!

samurainoir - I just looked up the RAH one - that looks pretty awesome too!

I am pretty fond of the RAH versions and the Takara. I have a few of them. The microman ones are pretty cool as well and tie into the whole GI Joe - microman body evolution thing nicely. This pic is from an older thread about cool Godzilla toys. It is an RAH version.

That does look pretty awesome! I could see myself buying that one day as a treat for myself!

Man - I'm still on part 2 of this video - I just never want to leave this woman's kitchen.

Here is the earlier thread on cool Goji toys.

The 10 Awesomest Godzilla Toys Ever - Page 2 - Mego Talk

The above picture is the RAH version circa 2005 or so. There was an earlier RAH one that has more angled features. I believe it is the Godzilla vs. King Kong portrait?? Chris can tell me if I'm wrong on that, I'm sure. That one came out turn of the century - 98 or 99, I believe.

The two Takara versions were from 1984. One was just the suit and one headsculpt, the other had the suit, plus a special Japanese combat joe, and had two different heads (from the Mothra movie and Destroy All Monsters). The DAM head is the one that is the dam hardest to get. That and the specific combat Joe.

you can still find the RAH ones for less than a Franklin; plus there is a Gamera if you really get into the rubber suit on your Joe sort of thing.
