My day in Washington DC in 1977

I found some pictures that I just scanned in. Living near DC we would go down to the Kite festival in the spring on occasion. I remember being very happy to get this Star Trek Kite (although it didn't fly as well as other kites we owned).
You could drive in to the city back then and find parking on the street right away. Now-a-days, we take the subway in for any museum stuff. The photos of the filming model of the Enterprise were taken at the Air and Space Museum. The photo with the people walking was a mistake taken by me (I was 9 at the time) and for some reason kept the photo. Now I like it for the guy's shirt.

    It's all good!

nice. I have yet to visit the capital. Love that dude's shirt, as well.

I remember going to the Air and Space Museum in 1980 and being awed by the Enterprise.

Funny, I was also there in 1980 for my 8th grade field trip. Seeing the Enterprise was one of the highlights of the trip.

Yeah, it was a bit long in this pic, but by time 1980 hit, it was back to a short haircut.
