Ever Consider This Type Of "Toy"

My wife would kill me, but I've thought about setting up a room like this. I realize its not a toy, but I have no other reason then I think it would be a hoot. Check ou tthe statues under the coffee table.-

Where are the beaded curtains? The crocheted pillows?

The picture of Jesus with the glow in the dark eyes?

            OW! My eyes!
Sorry, but to me that's best left in memories of the 70's. My stepfather used to make that type of textured velvet wallpaper and I think he still has old rolls of it.

Besides..I found the original owners and they want it back.

              That's actually kinda groovy.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

About ten years back I had to pick my grandmother up at her friend's house, it looked exactly like this, there was even a book about jimmy carter on the coffee table.

well then, the Jimmy Carter book completes the room...kind of brings the whole thing together.

To be honest I would love to have shag carpet somewhere in the house, but my wife would pull a VETO big time on that idea.
                    It's all good!

I have to admit that I kinda do like the dining room set.

I always envisioned this is what it looks like in the parlor of the Chicken Ranch.

This style is a little too gramma for me. Whenever I have the chance and the funds to move into my own house, The living room is gonna be 70s central. Shag carpeting, faux paneling, a console TV (color conversion),stereo w/ turnatable and cassette, lots of rust, gold and brown shades (maybe a touch of green thrown in), overstuffed couch and chairs, and floor pillows. It'll be a trip!

This was my HS room Dad and I created in 1975 to celebrate the Bicentennial.

I have shown these pictures before but thought some of the new members might like to see them!
Too many toys. Not enough space!

Looks just like my friend Mario's parents' place in the 70's

ONLY thing missing? The plastic cushion covers.
