    New Blog: Making Of...

Please step into the Way-Back Machine with me. I just posted a new Blog, telling a "Making Of" story that is nearly a year old already.

I have a ton of similarly back-dated blogs waiting in the queue. I'm just waiting for the right time to publish each one. Tonight is the right time to go back to December of last year, and tell you a story of recent history. A story about the…

    Making of: The Book Cover

A lot of work went into this particular blog. I hope you enjoy it!

Just seeing all the work you did on that first cover gives me a small idea of everything you had to do to make this whole book a reality. Wow, just wow. That cover with it's rainbow background reminds me of the postcard you did (sans Wonder Woman). That pic would have made a very nice looking cover too (when I first saw the card, I thought it was going to be the cover).

Yeah, it's a real shame you couldn't use that first cover. Personally, I think the DC lawyers were exaggerating a bit when they said it would create a confusion with the other book. Sure, there are some similarities between the two covers, but there's no way you could mistake one for the other.

Benjamin, I loved the original cover design, but I really love the final design as well. Especially considering the restrictions that DC handcuffed you with, you did an amazing job on very short notice!

The instant I saw the cover image to the DC figure book, I knew that was the reason you had to make the change.

I can't wait to see the back log of blogs you have lined up.

I was wondering if you were going to touch upon this, while I miss the Superfriends motif, I think I prefer the "Wards catalog spread" nature of the cover now.

I too, figured out what was going on when I saw Scott Beatty's book cover. But in the long run, your new cover looks more "Megoesque", with the zany Jokermobile front and center.

Just want to say, in addition to salavating at the thought of Benjamin's tome coming through the mailbox, I'm also looking forward to Scott's book. He knows his stuff, AND he's a heckuva nice guy to boot!

I enjoyed the insight into your photography. Moving them on an angle, getting the figures to "look" into the camera... it really makes a significantly noticeable difference. I realize this may be day in the life for a pro, but for amateur like myslef, I find it fascinating. Especially when I see the amazing shots you've captured.
