For some reason I thought it was back to the first weekend but either way my job knows the score now, I'm free to take days either week off.

Second weekend works great for me too...and I am ready now.
There was a South Park episode where Eric Cartman buried himself in the snow...to freeze himself to make the three-week-wait for the Nintendo Wii to come out...
it IS cold outside where I'm at...

We went through Wheeling last night on our way back from the Steelers game and we went to Oglebay park to check out the christmas lights they were amazing they should leave that stuff up all year so everyone at mego meet can see it. Its so big that there were tour buses rolling in to see it. I thought it was going to be this little crappy ordeal but I was really impressed. Yes the second week in June is awesome and I want to make a time machine to make it mego meet all the time!!!!

Dave likes to hold off announcing the date so he can book the better
rooms first - like the ones furthest away from the Suite.

There was a West Coast Meet last fall. Sandy, Hector and a few other people went. Austin Hough/MegoWGSH also had one over a year ago in the mid-west I think. Dave only organizes the WV Meet. Members are encouraged to be pro-active. Network thru the Museum and get people together.

I think I can finally go this year. We used to take our family vacation at that time of year. We switched to late July last year, so I thought I would make it. However, my son's high school graduation was scheduled that weekend so I was foiled again. I might make a motorcycle trip out of it this year as it is only 6 hours from my house. Looking forward to finally meeting everyone. How many people usually attend? I want to bring some surprise goodies and I would hope to have one for everybody.

Yes, west coast meets would be really hard to organize unless there are enough people in interested. Lonnie Fisher came close to doing one when he piggy backed at a local toy show in Portland. I would have attended but it was the weekend before Thanksgiving.
I like the idea of it being in Portland since the there are so many west coast folks that can train, bus, fly or drive at little expense.
I've looked into facilities and have found a church hall that we can utilize but not much lodging in the area. It would have to be close to an airport. This is in Portland.
I like the idea of Billy Galaxy's idea of doing a meet at Wonder Northwest (http://www.wondernorthwest.com/).
I plan on going and hopefully any west coast or northwest folks would like to meet up, let me know.
As for Seattle, if any Seattle folks want to meet up with myself, MattelMike and Jason73, let me know. We meet at the Queen Anne Dick's burger but I plan on having a BBQ this May for Cinco De Mayo.
Cheers
Ed

I have a Harley Ultra Classic Electra Glide, so plenty of storage space. And what I have in mind will not take up a ton of space.

Well, I'll have to speak to my new boss to see if I can get the time off. He's a real slave driver when it comes to hours, but if I catch him on a good day maybe he'll see fit to give me the time off. :)

that's a loooong haul from Texas my friend. I'd suggest a nice relaxing flight with something to take the edge off.

I'd definitely want to stretch it out over two days. Then again, a Xanax, a couple beers and a plane ticket is probably the better way of doing it :smiley1:. May have to have someone pick me up at the airport though :juggleyes_y:.

Several people fly into Pittsburg and drive over to Wheeling. You could always hook up with them or someone driving from farther east. You just have to put out feelers and schedule times.
