    Aurora Robin Model Set 1966

Bought this from someone whose family member passed away and collected when he was younger. I'll post some of the comics as well. In very good condition; box is in good shape, the pieces to the model and the stickers haven't been taken apart from the plastic or used. Some pics:

Pretty cool! What do the pieces look like?

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I've ALWAYS loved that model.. Never had it as a kid, but Robin was my favorite. I'm looking at the completed airbrushed ones on eBay now..

They're white, unpainted; mint condition; the box is in good condition. You know I collect, so he won't be put together until I find another one. One to collect, one to display, lol.

The paint is purchased separately. They look nice though.

Here's my model, that I built, and added some custom parts.

              Custom parts are:
-Burt Ward 1966 TV Batman show head
-Belt detail (little brass bars) to match TV show's Robin
-Decals for machine dials (I created)

Very nice. I've always wondered, does anyone know if Neal Adams drew the box art for this? It looks like the Robin he drew in World's Finest at the time (with the spit curls).

I love the artwork on both that Robin box and the Batman box that came out at the same time. Just great art!
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

One of my favorites. I have one MIB, the Comic Scenes version MIB and the Revell version MIB.

I had it as a kid.
I took the reissue and made the display base in to a mego scale lab table with some square stock plastic. and modified the equipment .

There are a LOT of older models being put out these days once again (Wonder Woman, Superboy, Batmobile, etc.). They cost more, because of production, and less people buying them, but it's a great time to pick up some nice vintage kits.

BTW, an AURORA style Green Lantern model will be out in 2011. Now that's awesome.

                        Regards,

                        Geoff

Yes. Neal Adams did the box cover art. Nice. I'm gonna redraw it!
