    Planet of the Apes playset

Anyone remember a POTA playset which included a flexible ape mask and I believe fake guns and things?
It stuck out in my mind because of the mask. I am pretty sure it was from the mid 70s.

A thompson submachine gun is what the mobsters in the movies always carry.

"Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."

Yep that's it. Again, the mask is what I really loved. It was the only "flexible" "latex" like mask at the time. I remember wearing it out.

                  Thanks for the link!

Yes, we talked about this set a year or so ago. We all came to the conclusion that, back in the day, if you included an Apes mask with it, toy makers could clear out ANY old store stock.

....and US nco's during WW2. The tommy gun has a ZILLION variants! (It was tough narrowing it down for my 8" scale ones....)
