Prehistoric Scenes display at Wonderfest 2011

    Hey all.
Just wanted to let you know that there is going to be another Prehistoric Scenes display at this upcoming Wonderfest.

I got to help Dave throw together the first one at this year's Wonderfest.
Aurora Prehistoric Scenes Models - Collection Displays

Well, Dave has already said he wants to do it again. And this time, with some more advanced notice, and time to organize, hopefully we can get a few more people to help out.

So, if you plan on coming to WF this year, and you like the PS kits (or better yet, happen to have some you'd like to add to the display) then feel free to check out the discussion about it on my PS forum.
Prehistoric Scenes - PS display at Wonderfest 2011
(you don't have to sign-up or register to read or post)

Even if you aren't planning to come, would appreciate any input or ideas. The more people brainstorming the better this will turn out.

Disclaimer (for those who worry about such things) - I am not trying to steal members from any online message group.
I only link to my board to try to keep any logistics discussion in one place.
I actually hope there will be some comments made here too, if for no other reason than to keep this message from dropping off into oblivion.

    Beautiful!

You should try to get everything in built unpainted condition and set 'em all up. Here's my "work in progress."

        Hmm.
I was thinking built and painted, but unpainted also has it's merits.

Once we get to the actually planning stage will have to do a poll and see which would be more popular. (also will have to see which would be most do-able.)

Right now, about half mine are completely done, and half the rest are in some stage of assembly.

Wow! those kits are very cool, didn't know about them. Really like the cro-mags and neanderthal. The box-art for the series is great too.
          Very nice!

I love those T-Rex kits! As a kid I bought the red one from a garage sale, built but in great shape. My mom must have thrown it out or given it away. As an adult, I bought the green re-issue on ebay. What a brilliant design. Much more articulation that one would expect with a snap together model.

Atlantis is going to be reissuing that big Trex.
And in the original colors with the glow parts,

              Gonna be really cool.

^^ and I'm re-issuing the background artwork for the original Aurora T-Rex. This will work for both the Aurora and Atlantis kits. Should be ready after the first of the year.

Just wanted to mention I expanded the area for display discussion, and am looking for some help deciding what to put on some handouts at the show.

As a kid I had the Cro-magnon woman set. I have no idea why I had that one over all of the others. Maybe it was because of the snake.

Thanks, maybe they were on clearance.

Well, I know the humans were the cheaper ones.
Probably all they had at the store for lower priced ones.
And you know how it is when you are a kid. If you have money to buy one, even if it isn't the one you really want, you have to buy it. Saving the money and adding more to it later just wasn't the way things were done when you were 8.
