    Sesame Street Score!

Went to a church bazaar this morning, found a train set I had as a kid, some board games (payday!) and couldn't pass this up for fifty cents.

Orange Oscar, Green Grover and original Gordon. Look how good Bob looks!

Exposed my children to our primitive music device, they were fascinated.

Man, you are talking to MEEEEEE!!!!!

Brian, that is a great record and the early photos/scenes/vids are my favorites.
    I watch them constantly....truly....even now.

    Congrats!!

OOOooo...I remember that album very well...played it to death...and played it on this Orange Record Player that some of my relatives brought over from Europe.

You'd have to insert the Record...kinda like CD's/DVD's...and the Speaker was built into the top...and you could carry it around like a briefcase...really funky!!!

Is that a BOTP Record Player or did you just decorate it like that...?
Everyone is Entitled to MY Opinion...Your's, not so much!

Great album. I have one like it, but it has a different cover. No one in the outside world ever believes me when I tell them that Oscar was orange.
          It's all good!

That looks different than the Original Cast album I had....An earlier version in fact...It looks like it has the prototype Grover on it (I think he was greenish-brown) as well as a bluish monster that's NOT Cookie Monster. From what I recall, he used to be the go-to monster in the very early skits.

The front of mine looked similar to this but I don't think it had the booklet:

Where were those sold? I've never seen those before. Ah the dream of walking into a Value Village or Goodwill and finding on of these!

Yesterday I finally found a copy of the new Sesame Street coffee table book at a decent price (at BMV). We spent the morning looking at it in bed, and it's just brought back a flood of memories. Probably watch some of the DVD boxset later.

I found the track listing for mine....very different from the back of Brian's album:

                1. Sesame Street Theme
                2. ABC-DEF-GHI
                3. I've Got Two
                4. Goin' for a Ride
                5. What Are Kids Called
                6. Everybody Wash
                7. One of These Things
                8. Up and Down
                9. Bein' Green
                10. Somebody Come and Play
                11. I Love Trash
                12. A Face
                13. J-Jump
                14. People in Your Neighborhood
                15. Rub Your Tummy
                16. Number 5
                17. Five People In My Family
                18. Nearly Missed
                19. Rubber Duckie

I still remember the pre-song dialogue word for word from "I've Got Two"

I have a few SS records, but my fave is Sesame Street 2 w/ the book and stickers inside! I had it when I was little.

                      SOUNDTRACK sesame street 2 LP vinyl BS 2569 VG+ 1971 - eBay (item 220622912512 end time Nov-12-10 13:50:12 PST)

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

maybe the record is different as a Canadian release? US original cast has a cat number of CS 1069. Totally different than the one you are showing. Great photos on that record tho. I have some singles with early photos, but no 33.

I can't really make out the track listing on the record to see if it is different. The numbers on the back of the jacket are not songs, they are who is in the photos.

                          NICE!!!

It's things like the BOTP Record Player that get the old OCD, Gotta-Have-It, Bug itchin' for a scratch...Thank God I got it somewhat under control.

I'm glad there are folks out there that appreciate this stuff and it's nice to see they're still being used and shared.

                          Lucky Bastiches...Just Kidding...or am I...?

This record shows a "Deluxe version" with a story book, maybe that's the version everyone is thinking about.
