Sorry Mr. Cassidy - for real though pal, lay off the booze while you are driving, eh? Other folks are out there on the road, not to mention we all have kids/family/animals out on foot...sheeesh...:ugh_y::yeah:

Sadly this isnt shocking at all....bonaducci (sp), Coleman, Bridges, Dana Plato, Maureen McCormick, etc. The kid that starred in 'The Toy' ended up strung-out and 'starring' in porn movies, and what about the sad case of River Phoenix. man...

The industry is a cruel bit** I suppose...I feel sad for these people that are in TV shows and films so young, it oftentimes seems to take a negative route. (Greedy parents, swept up in the party scene, used and bled dry, etc.)

Saw David Cassidy in concert last year. He was definately a bit tipsy during the show, so I am not surprised by the DUI.

I'm not sure how he can fight this battle: Saying that he wasn't intoxicated. Even if it wasn't the bourbon and it was the painkiller, it still affected his driving and his ability to react. Hopefully, he will be able to come clean and lucky for him he didn't hurt himself or anyone other.

David has actually been a straight arrow (the man is 60) as a former teen idol, and not been in trouble with drugs or alchohol before (to my knowledge). I don't excuse drunk Driving but this is no different than anyone who had too many and got behind the wheel cause they thought they were fine.
if this is indeed his first DUI offense he should be treated like anyone else, Finem Community service and a short term license suspension
