Mego Hot Wheels Type Set

Hello All,

I currently have an item I totally forgot I had. I have had it for about 20 years now and not sure exactly its worth or collectability.

It is a Speed Burners Wheelie Dragstrip Showdown made by Mego. The date on the box is 1979. It appears to have been played with back in the day, but has the 2 cars and tracks and the box which is worn. Store price tag still on itfrom Mays dept store for $9.88
It reminds me of the hot wheels sets I used to have when I was a kid.

Does anyone have any info on this item?

They show up on ebay from time to time. There are several different sets and several different cars. I don't think they are too expensive, maybe less than $20 a set depending on completeness. I think a couple of members here have a set or two (or maybe just the car). I'd like to get a set just to have one in the collection.
