    Tomy makes monsters

The Tomy Mighty Men and Monster Maker was one of the more memorable toys of my childhood, from the moment I saw the commercial, I was single minded in my purpose to get it for my birthday which I luckily did.

That meant the entire month of October preparing my house for Halloween, as toys went I got my mileage out of this sucker and it's one I'm surprised hasn't seen some sort of reissue.

Some of these PS entries actually ressurect old anger at NOT getting one!

Hey, my parents deserve a LOT of credit for what they DID get me... but,
man, seeing this "stung" for a quick second!
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

I peaked under the tree and knew this was coming in advance. Awesome, awesome toy.

I had a friend who had this. Odd that I didn't, given my artistic bent, even as a kid!

They still make the girl version, "Fashion Plates", I believe.

A definite boon to those of us that weren't born with the artistic skills of so many here on the boards.

the only issue I had with this, is that using their tracing pencil/crayon they gave you, you would still get all sorts of marks in the spots that were not part of the rub over. It
never came out clean like they showed them

My school used to have Fashion Plates, and the one to Jim Hensen's "Dinosaurs".

There are 3 toys I vividly remember getting "out of nowhere".
Those toys that were'nt for Christmas or your birthday. These are the toys that your parents just picked up on a whim, just because.
Hypnos from the Pulsar toy line, GI Joe straight arm Zap and the Mighty Men and Monster Maker are those three and I have a huge soft spot for them.

I'm not huge on tattoos (for myself), but I think your favorite combo for a monster could make a solid tat.
