    Frankenstein's Chopper

I've blogged before about Ideal Scare Cycles, the ingenius combination of the Evel Knievel concept mixed with monsters but I've never actually seen the finished product. Well, thanks to Ebay, I've rectified that by stumbling upon the Frankenstein from the series.

The packaging differs from what was shown in the Catalog, it's a little more straight forward but I still dig it. It's pretty much a plain box with a litho, I guess Ideal wasn't investing too much into the line.

My attempt to show off the glow features of the cycle itself. The big problem with these is the wheel melts over time (A lot of Ideal toys have this rubber/plastic reaction over time) so Frankie won't be pulling any wheelies anytime soon....

I have never seen nor heard of those until you mentioned them a while back in the blog. I would have loved to have those back then

I would have went wild over one of those about 25 years ago! Wonder if it performs as well as E.K.?

Now if there was actually a movie with Frankenstein riding a chopper, we could all die happy...

That's what I was thinking. Can Frankie out-jump EK???
That's looks like a fun toy - - - a reflection of how popular Univ Monsters were back in the day.

How does the Haunted House winder look? I would have enjoyed that for sure.

Congrats on picking that beauty up Brian! I'm not big into the monster items but man, I'd love to have one of those!

By the looks of it's design it is probably just like the EK winder, the handle is on the other side of the house unseen.

That is insanely cool. If anyone owns a chopper, that would make a great Halloween costume. Can you imagine rolling down the interstate in that?
