Not exactly sure who owns it, maybe Rupert Murdoch

But the site (as we know it today) was launched in June 2001

Since then it went through a few cosmetic changes.

Its been a through a few cosmetic changes, but I seem to recall a significant move to another web host provider. The real changes since 2001 is the sheer amount of members that have joined, there can't have been more than 10 when I joined. Also all the sub forums have emerged.

I never noticed until right now you signed up 1 day before me, Clem

Yea, it was kind of bare back then...

Sometimes you'd make a post and it would take 2 days to get a reply

        It was fun though

Yeah, but I don't think I was very active at the beginning as I spent most of my time with the Mego yahoo group which was quite busy back then. I wonder if anyone posts there anymore?

This topic does come up from time to time by inquiring minds that would like to know. From what I have read in the past Brian and Scott are co owners of the site. I suppose that real answer to the question is it all depends on which one of them you ask at the time.

Brian - Yeah I own it! What's it to you?
Scott - Your darn right I am the owner!

Little does one of them know that I bought the site a while back for $50 grand. The real question is which one of them sold it to me??? hahahaha

Too much space. Need more toys!

I remember visiting the Museum back in the late 90's, but this forum wasn't here. Is that what started in June 2001? Before then it was a message board on RTM? It was a PITA to read, especially on a slow dial up connection, so I rarely bothered.

Scott Adams officially owns it, Brian is the curator and man in charge, and I host it on my servers.

Actually, I sold it to Archer Daniels Midland last year. They use it in cattle feed.

I wonder what effect high-grade Megotainium has on methane emissions?
