I've only recently discovered Rush. I was aware of them when I was a kid, but no one I hung out was into them, so I missed out. I'm beginning to appreciate them now, though.

I watched that documentary this weekend and it was great.

One of my favorite characters in my favorite TV series (Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys) is a huge fan and there was an episode where Alex Lifeson himself played a big part.

My fave band of all time... The Doc was awesome. About time they get some of the credit they deserve for being the most talented power trio in Rock history. I actually got to meet them and hang out with them for an afternoon. It was truly one of the best days of my life. They were all so cool.

Aw Sandy, did you have to tell us that?! Now I hate you!! And I really don't want to hate you!!

Absolutely my favorite band since Moving Pictures, which might be the greatest rock album in the history of the known and unknown universe. 2112 is a masterpiece too.

I caught them live at the Allentown fair a month or so ago. Best concert I have attended, none were even close. The entire Moving Pictures album song by song in order. I was in heaven. I drove home in a deep depression because the concert was over and I would not be able to catch another one on this tour.

Great documentary about the best band out there. I laugh every year at half of the folks that get inducted into the supposed Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (Hall of Lame is more appropriate at times), when they still haven't been inducted. Between them not being in, and Kiss (whom I am not particularly a fan of, but recognize their accomplishments and influence), it really is a joke.

I was a huge rush fan for a long time, but they lost me with test for echo. I only like 3 songs on it, and have only liked one song they've done since then. But man do I love the bulk of their library.

I've been to alex's club in Toronto, read all of neil's books, and can flawlessly air drum 99% of Exit Stage Left, Signals, Power windows, and Hold Your Fire.

My favorite Rock Band song is Red Barchetta. I love to play bass on that tune, although I can't get past medium difficulty. Actually, that is my favorite Rush song, period.

Yeah, Witch Hunt is a very underrated tune, one of my favorites.

I saw the documentary on VH-1 Classics. It was done very well. But I will admit. Rush is the only concert I have attended where I actually fell asleep. :smiley1: I had gone to school (college classes until 2) that day, then worked until 8. Got to the concert in time to see Rush and was so tired the drone of keyboards and pastel lights absolutely put me under. It was the Subdivisions tour. It was rough. I was never so gald to get to bed that night. :googly:

Funny you should say that. Signals is my favorite Rush album and that tour was the first time I ever saw them. How anyone on God's green earth, could fall asleep during ANY rock concert, let alone Rush, is crazy... :terror:

I just don't get the attraction really???
U2 and Rush two bands I could do with out,I'm sure I'm in a minority here.
Don't get me wrong they have a couple decent hits but for the most part they annoy the crap out of me.Perhaps it's due to over play here I don't know?
Being Canadian I really wanted to get behind them but I just couldn't... :googly:
Good thing I'm not in charge of a recording studio I would have passed on these two bands and been laughed out of the business...

Not to change the subject, but

My favorite Canadian Band has always been The Guess Who/BTO

IMO, they were the Canadian Beatles

The closest I ever seen them was seeing Burton with Ringo's All Star Band back in the mid 90's
