    Big Jim Dr. Steel question

    Hiya folks.

Recently picked up a Dr. Steel.
Was wondering if the Big Jim heads here could refresh my memory and bring me to enlightenment.

I recall the Dr. having a chromed hand. Is this how he was released, or was it a paint job?

    thanks in advance

      I believe it's chromed.

I grew up with this line and still own two Dr. Steels from my childhood. They were painted with the chrome color. I know this to be accurate because the first one I ever got for Christmas developed a break at the wrist and you could see it was flesh tone except for the surface paint.

I have a Dr. Steel, (and I didn't know his name when I first bought him in '90, so I called him Ironhand). About 8 years ago, the painted chrome hand split in half right between the fingers. I had to perform surgery, and I replaced his arm w/ the arm of a junk Big Jim figure, so the chrome is gone. Maybe one day I'll repaint it.
