In case anybody wants to get together in the Northwest, here's your opportunity. Two day toy and collectible show November 20-21. It's at the Columbia Conference Center, which shares a parking lot with the Airport Holiday Inn. There will be a discount on hotel rooms (I think maybe $69 a night, but don't quote me on this. I'll have more info on Tuesday.) and maybe get a chance to hang out Saturday night in the Conference center somewhere. If anybody wants to get a table, I think they are $45 for one and $80 for two. If we get a bunch of tables, we can get a corner spot (which is highly coveted by the regular attendees, but Mego collectors are special and we could veto their claim to it!)
There are going to be dealers from Seattle and other places in Washington coming this year. And a comic show is taking place in Portland not too far away from this show on Sunday the 21st. So anybody who comes could trip over there to see what they have going on too. I think the comic show is $7 admittance. If you can attend it would be nice to get some kind of head count.
I can't afford a room but I'll get at least two tables. Maybe three! So a few more tables and we can dominate a corner! So speak up and let's hear who's interested in attending!! I think admittance $5 for the two days.
Two months from now. That leaves enough time for saving cash for the show.
So what do you think? Anybody going to come?

This is the first day. It has a different name for the second day, but it's one show that's two days.

I'm thinking about having a Mego door prize drawing just for museum members who come to the show. Maybe one drawing for each day.

Would love to get to go but going down there for the Thanksgiving, the weekend after.
If anyone wants to get together then or join us for wine tasting the day after Thanksgiving? We usually hit the Willamette Valley wineries.
Or meet up for a lunch since we usually stay over at Irvington Heights with family.
Hope you guys find some good stuff.:cool_y:

There will be some exciting stuff there. Original Mego figures that are boxed, carded, loose and parts. Customs only available at the show. Emce and Cast-A-Way figures. Lili Ledy figures. There will be some custom BifBangPow figures too.

Okay, I'm going all out and getting six tables if I can. I've got four reserved already. I'm going to have door-prizes for both days. At least one table will have chairs so people can hang out and talk.(Or play with their new figures.) I'll have Megomuseum and Cipsa cards to give away. Thank you Palitoy and Megoapesnut!

Sweet! West coast represent!! I will definitely be at the show, but I don't really have any wares to justify a table!! Look forward to meeting you, Lonnie!

I paid for six tables today. The area I bought won't be in a corner. It'll be along the back wall of the room. I should have a large area next to the tables for people to hang out if they want.

Any other Oregon or Washington people planning on showing up?
I'm thinking about maybe having a "trading" table for those who have extra Mego figures they want to trade for other Megos.
There will be a toy drive for some foster home also. I'm planning on donating some stuff that doesn't sell at the show.

Anybody else getting excited? I'm moving less than a week before the show, so that's going to suck for finding what I want to take. I can't picture the move being very organized.

I'm moving right now and have no idea how I'm going to get ready for the show. I have NO IDEA where anything is. Moving Sucks!!! I'm getting a bigger place and ditching the storage units to save some money. Paying for years of storage is so expensive I could have had way more toys!!!!

Are you going to bring some Laser Mego items to sell? I will probably have some extra table space...

Tomorrow and Sunday are the days!! Starts at 10:00AM Saturday for $4 or 8:00AM for $10. The $10 price for 8:00 is the early-bird admission. 8:00 is when set-up starts, so you can watch people unpack their boxes and snatch things up first. The show is from 10:00AM to 3:00PM.
Sunday the show starts at 9:00AM and ends at 3:00PM. Sunday admission is $2 at 9:00 or $6 at 7:00AM for the early-bird admission.
Saturday is a "toy" show and Sunday is the "collector market" show.
Door prizes from my booth for Megomuseum members! I'll be giving a door prize each day. I'll have a sign-up sheet for members here to sign up for a give-away after the show. So if you show up, make sure to sign in at my table.
There is also a toy-drive going on, so I will be donating some stuff. It'd be nice if some poor kid could get a new "retro-Mego" style figure for Christmas!!
Hopefully lots of people will show up! If it does well, it'll turn into an annual event.

Show Hours are 10am-3pm
Admission is $4
$3 Admission Price With Can Food Donation
Children Admission Is Free
8 AM Early Entry Passes Are $10.00

The Columbia Conference Center is an excellent facility that provides free parking, concessions, nice restrooms and tables with chairs for resting your feet. The Airport Holiday Inn is a great place to stay the night when attending the show.

Wish I could have gone but the weekend before turkey day and black friday is pretty hard considering we spend turkey day in Portland.

Still would love to see another quasi Mego Meet in Portland soon.
We go to Portland once a month now so if there is any planned meet I can plan around it.
We still plan on doing a 7th De Mayo BBQ at our house, hopefully nice weather and inviting MM members to come over and mingle with other friends.
