Night Of The Living Dead remake 3-D

    Didn't know it existed?
Thats no surprise as it only had a very limited theatrical release last year. The good news (I hope) is that it is being released on DVD today!
I was following the progression of this film way back when the first article appeared in Fangoria. The photos of the zombies were pretty interesting and all in all it looked like it would be a good film.
I waited and hoped that the film would make it to my area but no such luck which means that the full impact of the 3-d will never be experienced.
The dvd comes with 4 pairs of 3-d glasses but the question will be how 3-D can it be on a regular tv!?

Anyway, One of the stars of the film is Sid Haig (Captain spaulding from house of 1000 corpses and the devils rejects)

I have ordered my copy and plan on having a few friends over and together with some fresh popped pocorn, We are going to have some pre- Halloween fun.

Anyway, here is the link to the films site if anyones interested.

I don't like being the bearer of bad news, but....This flick is a real stinker. The 3-d isn't very good either. It's the Red/blue stuff that never seems to work well, especially if the movie is in color.

I have a link to watch this online if anyone interested, just PM me.

I thought the 3D version was the original. I guess I will take a pass.

                  Sid Haig .......
                  GREAT casting !!!!!!

Not sure i'm happy about Romero not being involved in it.....
                  But,
Romero did do a pretty stinky job on his own NOTLD remake.
So it could be a good thing.

I still remember seeing the original soooo many years ago at a drive-in. I was pretty young and it really stuck in my mind.

NOTLD 90 is a 5 star classic compared to this thing. Other than Sid the cast is uber annoying. It just feels and looks like a really cheap direct to video modern horror movie. Direct to video Horror was great in the late 80's early 90's, but this digitally filmed crap they put out now is truly awful stuff.

                      MEGOGEEK,
There is a 3d version of the original NOTLD. It came in a box set when you bought a pair of those Field sequential 3d glasses. Has anyone seen the colorized version...

George's name was attached to the remake but thats it. The remake was actually made by Tom Savini. I personally like that film.

George reworked the script abit, but yeah it was basically Toms movie. He did most of the shot set-ups etc..The only think I wished they would have done with 90 was have Tom design the Zombies.

And yes, I like it also.

Ever see Conspiracy theory with Mel Gibson? In the film, he has to keep buying copies of "catcher in the rye". In his apartment was many copies of the book.
Well..... for some reason, I buy NOTD movies! I have loads both dvd and vhs. I like the case artwork variations and when I see one that's differant from what I have, I buy it!
I do have the colorized version. If I'm not mistken, they were selling in Walmart not too long ago for like $10.

You wanna see a crap film? See Day of the Dead 2 contagium. Now that's crap!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a stock pyle of $1 NOTLDs.

I had that crummy 30th Aniv version with the extra footage and new music...good grief that was crap. DOTD2..yuck..never even got a second glance from me. I hate Zombie fan films almost as much as I hate modern zombie fans. They give me the creeps..
