As a little kid my older brother had a few sets, so I have never known life without a good slot car track to race.
I have all the ones my brother had from the early to late 70's. The one problem is that a lot of the cars are out of order, there are about only 3 cars that work and I need tires for them. I have a tub of parts that could rebuild about 10 to 15 cars and I'm in the process of trying to get the parts to fix them again.
Then I got the R.C. Turbo Hoppers HO set in about 1987/88 it's fun since it has hills etc. that most sets don't have.
I picked up a new track from Life Like a few years ago and given the cars go way faster since they have magnets in them to hold them to the track. but even with the extra speed they don't have the fun the vintage ones do.
Who else loves them some slot cars?
