I consider kids like this unsung heroes, for their presence made me invisible to bullying of any kind, the only thing that could break his spell would be to show up to school in my sister's clothes. For more Fashion Mockery and 70's toy love visit us at Plaid Stallions.com

wow. Sort of a combo of Mr. Rogers meets Howdy doody. What is that in his hand? A cane, a cropped parasol? Is it the hook he just triumphantly ripped from Chuck Barris' hands?

I think he grew up to be a Hong Kong Cavalier. at the very least a Blue Blaze Irregular.

Geez all he needs is that straw Vaudeville hat to go w/ that cane!

I do like the shoes though. I had saddle shoes in the second grade.

That brings back memories. I loved those ventriloquism dummies they sold in the Sears catalog back then.

        Hey, wait a minute....ew...

Dude better be carrying a baseball bat on his shoulder instead of that stick if he plans on wearing that to school.

                Yikes....The Tony Randall Juniors collection!

Unless that kid is trying to look like Junior from those movies from the early nineties, I foresee a tough life ahead. I mean...what kind of parent would even let their kid dress like that (except of course, Tony Randall).

                I can see it now...
"Gee, Mom, if I wear that everyone will laugh at me...I'll get beat up!"

"Well son, if your little friends make fun of you, just sing...Sing out loud...Sing out STROOOONG...Sing of good things.....Well, you get the idea.
                "Crayons taste like purple!"

America Has Talent...the Gong Show Years. I'd lose the cane kid, it's a sure way to learn the "Popsicle Effect' in a gym class locker room.

At least no one will steal his shoes...take them and throw them up over the telephone pole lines, yes, but not steal them to wear.

Actually, other than the bow tie (and cane??) that's exactly how I dressed as a kid...with pics to prove it. All mockery aside, this WAS fasionable in the 70's!
