Lion Shoe/Claw Symbol?

In the inside of one of my Lion's shoes is an M but there is none in the other. What is the difference?
The shoes are exactly the same color and shape just one has an M in it.

Sounds like you just described the difference. These kind of minor variations are generally meaningless.

Is like a type one lion supposed to have the M and type two not. I don't understand why these are like this.

Molds are marked so that they can be replaced when the products that come from them are defective. They're usually replaced with a mold that has the same marks as the original. That's why they're meaningless for dating parts.

why does one foot have one and the other not??

OK, I checked the shoes on all four of my loose lions and the pair on my Tawky Tawny custom. All of the shoes have marks inside. Most are illegible. One has a very clear "X" and one mark looks like multiple overlapping X's.

Body types are mixed and suits include three variations.
