View Full Version : Dinah-Mite Shoes: Got Pics?

Hi, All! I've been focused on my loose Dinah Mite collection lately. Since there's a Barbie collector in my family, for years I've been really good at identifying smaller accessories which helps a lot in auction lots and such. :yes:

However, I almost never find Mego shoes for Dinah. I mean, I find her boots regularly, and won a pair of tennis shoes with an outfit, but that's it. For as many long dresses and pantsuits the catalogs and boxes show with heels, I'd expect to see more of them, right? So, the only thing I can figure is I've got to be looking for the wrong shapes. :juggleyes_y:

So, does anybody here have pictures of loose Dinah shoes from a front and/or side view, rather than the MISB front views shown in the gallery?

Any help would be appreciated. Ant? Anybody? Thanks

Most of Dinah-mite's dress shoes were white versions of Glinda's shoes (or vice versa). She didn't have highheels.

OK. That helps a LOT. I was expecting more Maddie Mod type shoes, not the WOz style. Can't say that I've seen many of those lately either, but at least i know what to look for now.

But, Dave, Dinah doesn't have an accessory check :wink:

So, I guess ABMAC will have to be our best reference for her :grin:

Ant IS the accessory check for Dinah. Plus, you don't have to worry about him linking you back to the old Museum page :grin:

Hmmmm....

I got a shoe with more of a heel in a set. I thought it was from a Dinah outfit; it looks a lot like the usual ones, and it fits a Mego foot perfectly.

The original was in rough shape. These are repros I'm using on a custom. The bow was added by me. There was a vague detail on the front (like a strap maybe) but the one I had looked chewed and it was mangled pretty bad.

So I'm wondering where this one came from. The original was yellow.
