How rare is the Sharkos vehicle? Anybody have one?

Rather rare, I think, relative to the rest of the line. They actually don't surface (- forgive the pun. Or not.) quite as regularly these days as they did a few years ago, and generally have a couple hundred dollar price tag when they do.

Personally I don't have one yet - too pricey for my cheap wallet. I also only have a woefully incomplete loose Lobstros, and a battered loose Ampzilla with one resin recast part to complete it.

I remeber walking in to Child World one day & Seeing an Empeor His horse & sharkos. I begged to be alowed to get one my parents said not tonight maybe for your birthday (Wich was like a week or two away) I never saw Micronauts at a store again after that day.

There are some pics of the Pocket Heroes being paired with Micronauts in the same vein as the Hero Shuttles. I thought Aquaman should have been paired with Sharkos...

Thanks for the info, a bit too pricey for me as well. Is that what a boxed version goes for?

A couple hundred is probably the low range for a boxed one. The Italian GiG boxed releases are more common, although in the last year or so several Mego-edition ones have popped up in Canada

Interesting to hear that they showed up at Child World (and Children's Palace?) with the Lionrock stock of Emperor and Megas.

Sharkos is a neat little design. If I had one, I'd try to make resin casts of it so people could have at least some representation of it in their collections - if not motorized or seaworthy!

Here is the Sharkos figure with his box.

Here he is compared to "some other shark figure" for size comparison.

They both used the same motor.

Aww c'mon these toys are nothing compared to anything in Reuben's collection.

These grew on trees in my day. Of course the trees were in Japan
and arrived there via an Italian toy dealer...

The two figures are
"The Great White Shark" from the set "Aquaman vs the GWS"
and the Green figure is Sharkoss.

In truth, both of these used to be quite obscure in my day, but I imagine with the internet they show up on a much more regular basis.

Great White Shark was obtained in the early 1990s -
He initially was MIB, but there was a basement flood.
He swam away and right into the hands of Jim Makowski of Action toys.
Who in turn passed the fish onto me.

Sharkoss was obtained through California Japanese super collector Tom Franck (who brought him back for me after going to WONDERFEST and hooking up with an Italian toy dealer in Japan)

Yes there were the occasional hoops to jump through, but people were more understanding back then. Man, I lived for LAY-A-WAY plans.
Who the heck needs food when there were toys as cool as MEGOs!
Are they a lot easier to get now?

Ouch! Of all the toys to have a box ruined in a flood...:googly:

In my eyes, Tom even goes way beyond "super collector" after snagging a Garada K7 Jumbo Machinder (not to mention his awesome JM collection as a whole)

Not sure about Sharkos, but the Great White Shark set is still not seen for sale very often.

I could never see what the big deal was about Sharkos. I always thought it was one of the lamer Micronaut toys.

I do kind of agree he looks less slick than say Hornettroid or Lobstros but I still think he's neat.

I like the Lord Emporers. Mmm shiny. Interesting about both the sharks have the same engine. Makes perfect sense though.

Just randomly came accross this knock-off looking version of the emperor.
