Help with body swapping

Hi,

I just needed some advice on how to swap the mattel GL lower arms and hands to a Castaway body. Should I cut the peg that attached the lower arm to the upper and if so, what size peg should I use to attach it to the Castaway upper arm?

Any help would really be appreciated.

Boil the arm and pop the pin out, then boil and replace with new forearm.

Thanks that helped, I am guessing use a styrene rod for a pin....the pin that came with it doesn't seem to work well with the castaway arm.
