ZICA Bodies Low Inventory [Archive]

Just wanted to let people know that the current level of inventory for the ZICA bodies is a little over 100. I know that may not seem low to some but I've had a fair amount of orders were people have bought over 10 at one time. I don't know when I'll be getting more bodies in stock and wanted to make people aware of the situation.

Thanks for the compliments everybody and I've been extremely happy with how well the bodies are selling. Hopefully it will be the same for the female body once it's available.

I'd rather not take any orders until I actually have the bodies in stock.

I need to get another order in soon. Hopefully ya'll will send an order in to replenish stock before they are all gone! LOL.....Definately need a ball-joint neck adapter. I'm going to be getting these guys to do a few head sculpts of myself and some of my friends, so the ball-joint adapter will come in handy.

Basically it would be a neck stem with a ball on the end. If this ever happens it would be designed for a head that's completely different from a standard MEGO version.

I'm not familiar with that design but the adapter would allow for the head to be moved in different positions. Remember though, I'm not saying that this will definitely happen. At this point it's only an idea that's being considered.

Yeah, the male Mego heads were a bit difficult to turn in place.

The female heads didn't have that problem, as the stem wasn't integrated with the head itself

Please,please, please make these adapters available. I could see these doing well for customs, especially with the heads that are being done with those 3-D printers! See the link in my last post!

Man I sure hope that factory in China can get some more out soon. I've been having too much going on to get another order in. I was hoping the Z-Bodies would have still been around by Christmas. Has Zica put another order in for Z-Bodies? Or is that pending the sales of Buck Rogers?

The Z-Bodies are now officially sold out. Best guess at this point as to when I'll have more in stock is March of next year when the remaining 3 figures from the first assortment of Buck Rogers figures goes into production.

Thanks to everybody who purchased the bodies and hopefully when the next round is available there will be a female body to go with it. :smile:

With all due respect, I think it's really not a very Smart Buisness Move for You or Castaway to Go Months on End with No Body Product instock, with all the body Swapage that seems to be taking place.

I can't speak for Cast-A-Way but the factory I use has a rather high MOQ for any products I have them make, which includes the bodies. The first round of stock I received was pretty much a test run and was part of the order I placed for the bodies that are to be used on the Buck Rogers figures. Even if I placed an order today I still couldn't get the bodies shipped to me until next year because of the factory's current production schedule.

Thanks for the concern Jason... we just got our latest shipment, we should be good for awhile. I can't speak for ZICA, but we sell our bodies extremely fast and to a lot of non board members, it's a tough thing to gauge, and expensive, and a lot of work... we are always learning and listening to you guys, cut us some slack:smiley3:

I just know how many people would rather have this with that and whatnot , and it's probably much more than I could Fathom with the constant sell outs.

I didn't think you were Jason... no ill will from me bro... I agree 100 % with you, we just didn't have control this time and it was one of the most trying times with this factory. This was not our plan by any means.

Oh yea, we get it man. The original plan was to have these months ago to coincide with the arrival of the wave 2 Mattel Figures... it just didn't work out for us. But the good news is they are here now! we are about to unleash a bunch of product, as soon as we can get it all inventoried and on the site...
