Gonna Try for Some Live Feed Video

Hey All:

At some times during the Meet we're going to try to do some live feeds. This idea just came up yesterday, and I'm kinda new to the whole webcam thing, but we'll give a heads up here before we go live.

Yeah, that was me! Guess it works, now let's just see if we can get it working at the toy museum during the sessions and whatnot. Gotta make sure I've got some sort of WWW connection over there!

So should we just leave a window open with your video link all day ? ... or does the page need to be refreshed everytime you come on ?

It looks like it automatically saves any previous video. Perhaps there are those of you who will sit waiting for something to happen. However, if you have a life, then you should be able to look at the stuff that was "previously live," while others might prefer to try to check the boards from time to time to see what we have scheduled and catch it when it comes up.

I will try to get the sessions tomorrow and I may set this up in the Mego Suite this evening. Sorry to those who PMed me asking me to set it up when I take a shower. I don't want my webcam to get wet.

Thanks for pioneering the way. It would be great to have a sweep of the tables at the swap and to see some of the builders building and the speakers speaking.

Having a little bit of trouble working out the Internet connection issues here in the basement of the toy museum, but we are working on it!

My main PC is tied up doing a massive defrag (damn video!) so this PC has no audio out. Defeats the whole damn purpose. It is really cool though. Hopefully I can check it out better once the defrag wraps. Stupid work.

Thank you for the Youtube clips, that is fantastic, great to meet some members that way. You should get plenty more reactions, also film the dealer's room, the custom auction, the Mego suite and then put it all on DVD, I'd buy it :yes:

These are really great. I tried interviewing people at MegoCon when I taped the DVD but they were not too comfortable with it and we threw out the footage. You have a way with people here.
