    Any Al Adamson fans?

I'm really fond of American International movies, not all of them are tolerable but stuff like Blood of Dracula's castle and especially Dracula VS Frankenstein are real good times.

Plus the Gray Morrow Poster gives it a Mego feel.

I got to meet him just before his murder, he signed a Satans Sadists press book for me.

I think Dracula vs. Frankenstein has Plan 9 beat by a mile. That being said, its so horrible it's fun. I refer to their Frank as "Shoebox head".

Zandor Vorkov's Dracula makes John Bloom's Frank look like Karloff IMO. It's like he's speaking through a Mr Microphone the whole time.

One saturday night in college I rented this and a room mate joined me, by the end of the first hour he just turned to me and said "What pleasure do you get from watching something like this?" I had no answer but I watch it everytime it's on tv.....

I'm only familar with Dracula Vs. Frankenstein. I remember the movie from childhood and these days have the DVD. Even when I was a kid, I found it odd that Dracula changed from a normal look into whiteface with black makeup around the eyes at the end (the ending was refilmed at a later time).

Everybody goofs on Zandor Vorkov (his real name is Roger Engel, who's day job was (is?)a stockbroker) but I think he did a nicely camp performance as Dracula. Especially good for someone who is not an actor by profession. He still suffers for looking to much like Frank Zappa with fangs.

I got to check out his other horror flicks. I do have one of Al's Nudie exploitation films though:

              Naughty Stewardesses (1975)

Cinematic Titantic took "Brain of Blood" and retitled it "The Oozing Skull" to give it the ol' MST3K treatment, it's excellent.

A few days ago I bought a used DVD copy of "Brain of Blood" for seven dollars.
I'd never seen it before but I've been interested in seeing it. In terms of cinematic art I definetly over paid by seven dollars. In more important terms like entertainment and fun I got a real bargain. The movie is a piece of crap and I enjoyed every second of it! The DVD has the original trailers for several other Al Adamson films. Now I need to track them down.
