This made me laugh. Was poking around the web today and found this toy blog. The guy's talking about various Batman figures and shows off in great detail the Mego RC Batman his buddies bought him. "How'd they find one in such good condition? Thank, guys!" The box is clearly repro, the figure clearly Doc Mego.

I don't have the heart to tell him.

Huh, Mr. Stinkhead posts over at RTM often. You'd think he'd know that was a repro.

On the plus side, he does love it and all it represents.

I agree. He loves it and every part is brand new and mint and he is its first owner, so to him its a treasured gift.

Im happy for him.

All is well until he decides to sell it. Hopefully some sharp eye here spots it before somebody loses out.

Would I have the heart to tell him? Probably not. It`d be like stealing candy from a child.

A few years back my buddie's cousin was all excited because he'd scored what he thought was a mego Superman. What he had was a Fonzie in Supes clothes. The poor guy. My buddy was teasing him calling him Super Fonz.

I have to admit, I don't recall The man of Steel having a long nose, a D.A. and thumbs up action.

Why not? After all, I remember my own Fonzie testing out Tony Stark's armor, LOL.

I came across someone like this awhile back in Chicago a man who had a Dr. Mego Superman and thought it was an original mego and he was happy as hell to own a "classic toy." As soon as he asked me who 7th Street Toys were, I knew it was Dr. Megos. I wound up telling him because some schmo charged him eighty bucks for the figure. Even though you can probably snag a real Mego uncarded superman on ebay for 40 or 50. I hate it when people get messed over like that.

I wouldn't want to upset a happy collector, but if he's being ripped off somehow, i think you need to let him know.

I thought it was a gift, if so, it's still an incredibly nice gesture.

He really seems to love it, given how many photos he took of it and how he goes on about it. It's ironic to see him put so much into it thinking it's original, but it's also great to see the toy love.

I think the fact that he has a Robin head is the funniest part of it all.

Well, it seems he knows. His site is updated as such.
It acutally looks pretty good with the Robin head on it though.
