Anyone here seen the Superman/Doomsday movie yet?

It's getting mixed reviews on other boards I stop by, and even those who like it say its just kind of "meh".

I haven't seen it myself, and was just wondering what others thought of it.

Like I said I treated myself to it yesterday for my birthday and I watched it last night. I have to say I was very dissappointed with it. There is a lot to discuss about it but I won't spoil it for anyone until more people have seen it. I will say it earned its PG-13 rating.

Watching Superman/Doomsday in your Scooby Doo jammies?

I picked it up yesterday; with any luck I'll have some time tonight when all is quiet. I'm still stinging over the Brainiac movie, so I hope this one is better.

Close, I'll be filling out envelopes in anticipation of the apes cards while watching this movie.

I never bothered with the Brainiac movie and I'm glad.

One of my coworkers bought it for me for my birthday so I watched it last night. I was also a little disappointed. It all felt a little too rushed. It definitely did earn the PG-13 rating, though.

The biggest gripe I've heard is there are no other superheoes in it. So that's one reason why I'm steering clear.

                          Hmmmm....

The comic was essentially a 200 page fight scene, (like Dragonball) so I wondered how it'd translate to animation. Unless you wanted to do a super-kinetic hyper fight scene (like Dragonball) I could see it being kinda flat. And the usual WB animation isn't too hyper-kinetic. Some of their more cartoony stuff is though. So which style did they use for the animation; and do you folks who've seen it think it was good or bad for they story?

The Death of Superman storyline never did much for me in the first place, so I'm not too interested in it. I might eventually rent it to see how Timm did with it.

It was $12.99 at Best Buy and I had a $5.00 Reward Zone coupon, so for $7.99, how could I not buy it? (At best Buy, it also came with a mini New Frontiers comic, so that was a cool bonus.) Haven't watched it yet, though!
