El Santo and Mexican Wrestling Horror movies

Hands down my Favorite Genre. I grew up seeing the Luchadores on the Big screen My Dad and Mom would take me to the movies to see El Santo,Blue Demon and Mil Mascaras...I grew up a hardcore fan. I still love these movies to this day....

El Santo did many movies in which he fought,Zombies,Mummys.Dracula,Frankenstein,The Wolfman and many more if you've never seen them October is a great month to try them out......

    There are so many movies.......

Yes they are but newer releases now have them with English subtitles.....Plus they're really action orientated so really you can follow it easy.

LOL! I hear ya I'm the Same...I usually have the subtitles on when I watch my spanish flicks because everyone has their way of saying things that sometimes I don't get.

Santos and the Vampire Women is one of my faves on MST3K. Blockbuster online has a few available that I am waiting to get.

Count me as a huge fan of El Santo and knock offs like SuperArgo. I've even managed to catch a few of those on UHF channels really late at night, Santo was getting kind of old but they're still fun.

Samson (Santo) and the Vampire Women was great. I've wanted to see some of the old movies, but have never tracked them down.

Isn't there a new movie coming out along this same line? I'm thinking it's got Blue Demon Jr. in it, but it's been a while since I saw it talked about so I'm not sure.

Rob Zombie has a project called "Superbeasto" that is essentially an animated homage to the wrestling film.

A good way of seeing these movies is if your Local library has movies they might carry them so you can actually take them out and check if they intrest you.My Local Library has a whole bunch of them so I've been able to check them out before buying them.....

That's it. In the shot where the luchadors are walking, I saw Blue Demon in the front and thought he was the star for some reason. Still, if it's got Mil, Blue Demon, and Hijo del Santo in it (and I think I spotted Dos Caras Jr, too - or is that the original Dos Caras?) I'm definitely going to have to track this one down.
