Can't change Avatar?

I'm trying to change my avatar to a file that's 80 x 57 and about 6 kb. I try to have it load from photobucket, and after the last step I get a msg that says 'file upload failed.' Same if I try to upload the same file from my PC.

It's a .jpg, should it be another image format? Does it have to be square?

Any guidance?

Hmmm, even weirder, my avatar is showing as the new one in all my posts. So I guess it was just lying about not working, at least for the second attempt.

I've had smoky Zira for years, but with Jessica and True Dave (I think he's the one), there was just a little too much Chimp portrait action going on. I'd see their avatars and think they were my posts for a minute.

Very disorienting.
