Hey Gang,
So my Mom decided that she wants to go into the cake bussiness and she asked me to go in it with her. Now Mom has made alot of cakes and is really good at it but now she wants to work with fondant and that is a whole other can of worms. So my sister calls me and asks me if I can do a Gene Simmons cake. So I roll out some fondant and get busy giving it a try. I figure we would make a 12" x 12" cake and reproduce Gene's solo album. I etched out Genes head in the fondant and cut it out then painted it with food coloring. so far I have 4 1/2 hours in on this piece of fondant I think it came out looking really good and want to share it with you all. (This is just the fondant piece that will go on top of the cake the cake itself will be black frosting with fondant chains going around the upper boarder with fondant flames on the sides of the cake with the Kiss logo on the front side)I will take a pic when it is finished.
