Do you own anything that you know is a piece of junk, but you wanted it anyway because you have strong nostalgic ties with it?
For me, it was the cardboard Life-Size Electric Fireplace. It was a poor excuse for a real one, but we broke it out every Christmas when I was a kid. I remember it getting more and more beat up every year, but few things said it was Christmas more than than faux fireplace with its little red bulb-created flames. My wife is not happy about this particular pick-up. I just needed to share it with some other nostaglia-driven folks who might understand.
