Does this sound like a computer virus ?

    Started today ....

    I use IE
Everytime I go to youtube i'm bumped off then internet.
The window just disappears (as if I x'ed it out)

I can go on to their main page and search but when I click on a video it happens.

Museum, ebay and some other sites seem fine.

I ran Spybot and I have AVG free edition.

So, does my problem sound like a virus or something ?

I can't afford to pay for a bought virus scan so i'm trying to see what you all think.

Have you tried clearing your IE cache? If not, give that a try and see if that helps.

        I'm an idiot

I totally forgot to try deleting temp internet files

I just did and youtube seems to work now.

        Fingers crossed that was it.

Yeah, sounds more like a pref or cache file is corrupted rather than a virus

I'd tell you to get a Mac, but that problem could happen with them too.

My prob is i've been using IE for so long i'd be lost without it

When they updated it and moved all the buttons it took me over a year to get used to it.

I'm a creature of old habits

The messages typically include invitations to view video clips. when the recipients click on the provided links, they are taken to a counterfeit YouTube web site and informed that they … For more visit … premiumts.com/blog/?p=129

Thank you David from 516ADS.com for bringing this to my attention

                      Hmmmm....

If you go to "Safety" and hit "delete browsing history" you can erase all cookies, temp files, etc. BUT: it will erase EVERYTHING! So write down your passwords and such first.

Even though you use IE as your main Browser, you can still install another browser (Chrome or Firefox) as a backup just in case.

You can use it to troubleshoot your issues...if it doesn't open in IE but opens in Chrome or Firefox, then you know it's something in IE instead of your system.

Chrome doesn't take up that much space.

                        Just a suggestion

                          Good advice.

If you install Firefox, the very first thing you should do is customize the cache space. I forget what the default is, but it is ridiculous and needs to be pulled way down.
