As many of you know, the printer on the 1978 went bankrupt last Friday shutting their doors for good and possibly dooming the catalog.

Promises kept me being made, dates kept changing. I was assured they would be here no later than 3:30 today. I hung around the house this afternoon, cleaned my garage (a regular good Friday routine for me) but by 4:30, I needed to get away.

I grabbed my bike and went off into the woods.

When I returned home to put my bike in the garage, I discovered this:

I have to admit, I had lost faith but here it is.

I want to thank everybody who had my back during this crappy period, while I couldn't have taken the handout, it really made me happy we've got such a cool group of folks around. I felt the love and I thank you.

See, I live near Burlington and I was gonna offer to walk down Brant St. punching people who looked like they might work for a printer's place. I don't know how this would help, but I thought I should do something. Glad it all worked out in the end. I guess I'll just stick with my original plan of walking down James St. shouting at people who look like they might be working for the CIA.

Good news. Having either worked for or dealt with printers for almost 30 years, I felt for you when I read the news the other day. How did they end up with you? Did one of the employees get it bound and delivered to you as you thought?

It's great news and all - but I'm still hung up on the "clean my garage every
Good Friday". Now I'm not religious or anything, but most people of a
christian leaning might spent that particular day in church going through
the stations of the cross or at least not having meat, but cleaning the
garage 'cause Jesus died for our sins?

I spent Good Friday like a good Catholic boy - buying spandex at the
Spandex House in Manhattan before taking the kids to an noisy, crowded
Irish pub.
