need help idenifying boots

hi all,
i went to a garage sale this past weekend and spotted a bo duke figure with a slightly different shoe on. it looked like mego but since the figure was clean and price was right i bought it. the one on top is the boot from my luke duke figure and the one on the bottom is from the bo duke figure i picked up at the garage sale. has anyone seen these boots before? are they legitimate mego? any help would be appreciated.

I think the differences are due to wear and tear on the molds, and sloppy trimming of the top.
