Three Bucks. Had to earn it with chores, but it was enough for a Star Wars Figure and Hot Wheels each week. However, my Dad loved sports cards so he could always be talked into buying me a pack or two, Mom almost never said no to getting me Comic Books, and every week I got to go to the Saturday Matinee while Mom shopped. I made out like a bandit on three bucks.

Man, I got ripped! LOL! $1.25 a week. It sounds like nothing but I could go to the matinee at the local theater and get a popcorn and candy and still have money left over! It only cost 60 cents admission and popcorn was a quarter.

I have really had the best time reading through these! Great idea for a thread (if I do say so myself! :wink: )

And I remember Gold Rush gum, but when I was in Kindergarten, I loved its sister, Love-Its gum. I used to save the sacks for my little toys, and I even put the sticker label on a jacket and called it my Love-Its jacket. I wouldn't let my mom wash it until the sticker fell off. :smiley1:
