Is my Retro Superman's nose melting the bubble?

I just dug out my retro Supes this morning, and I noticed that there is a clear stream of liquid that has run from where his nose is pressed against the bubble down the inside, to about where his chest is. It's completely clear, and can't be seen unless under just the right light. I only noticed it, because the droplet at the end of the stream was refracting the light.

Looking the rest of the wave over, they are all doing this in various ways,... My GL and LL have the tops of thier heads pressed against the bubble, and streams are going off in all different directions from there. Sinestro has some running all the way down to the bottom of the bubble, and I can see it pooling underneath his boots.

This concerns me a little bit, and I'm wondering if I should remove these figures now before they become damaged in some way.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Send me high-res pictures of it so I can pass it onto Mattel for comment.

You might also want to call the customer service number on the back
of the card or go to Mattel Consumer Relations - Products, Parts, Service, Instructions, and FAQs.

If there is something being done at the factory, they will want to know
      about it.

I don't think I could keep those figures in a bubble without touching them. I have an extra Lex Luthor in a bubble that I am sending to Joe but I don't think I could pick up new Mattel figures and not open them. That would drive me and my kid nuts.

I know what you mean. I'm normally a loose figure collector, but there was just something about wave 1 that just doesn't speak to me.

I prefer the original Mego Superman to this new one in every way. I really have a problem with GL's chunky noggin, and his suit is a little off. Never been a big fan of Sinestro. Which leaves Lex... who for me, is the best of the bunch. But, if all the rest of the wave is staying on their cards for now, he might as well too.

I'd like to be able to customize them with better bodies, but cash tends to be a problem at the moment.

OOOPPS, and Mattel lets us down yet again with their Quality control.

                Hey HapSlash:

Condensation? Oil? Something inside plastic window of Retro-Heroes - Mego Talk

                I sure hope it's condensation.

Yeah, I've seen it, and we all agree that it's not condensation.

Since I posted this, I opened my Superman up before the oils could reach his costume. Although it's hard to justify saving the figure inside. It's the floppiest, saddest looking Superman figure I've ever owned. I'm not sure how you can screw up so badly on so many levels, but they managed to do it.

My figs are victim to this phenomenon too.

Mine have tiny flat spots on the noses where they are/were touching the bubbles where this slime is.
I would get them off the card ASAP.
Mattel has a serious issue on their hands with this one.

I only had one left on the card (Matty Green Arrow) and it had the same flat spot on the tip of the nose. It's pretty tiny and you really have to look, but it's there and it wasn't when the figure arrived in January.

if we open em up, do we loose any ground with Mattel if it comes to replacement?
