Is the new line of WGSH a success?

Just curious if anyone knows how sales are going. Is it too early to call this line a success?

I think it's to soon to tell...they've only shown up in small amounts at the Toy Stores.

Too early to tell, our little drop in the bucket of purchases made on this forum isn't going to prove it a success or not.

Way too early. It's going to take some time to see how the sustained sales play out. Mattel probably won't have a real clear picture until Dec. or so.

Forget the sales if somebody took a few boxes to a bunch of kids and see their reactions then you'll know if it's a hit or not.... after all they are toys......

Yeah.. I don't think Mattel shareholders see it quite that way.

Right now,I'd say it is. I'm just going by the fact that Green Arrow sold out and TRU.com is sold out. In the long run? That's anyone's guess.

Those are good indicators. Wonder if Doc is able to comment on this?

I still have not even found wave 1 on the East Coast.

They've made it to the Southeast.

I can say this - Mattel committed to year two before the first Green Arrow was
sold on mattycollector - they know that it takes time to know if a new line will
be popular. In the meantime, you hope for the best.

I think the signs so far are good ....so lets all be patient with this new line......keep giving constructive thoughts to Doc and Mattel....spread the word that there are new mego-esque figures in stores just like when we were kids and keep our fingers crossed

Can I ask you or someone else...what's the "math" on that?
A definite 25 characters in the line? That was my count.
I figured it was 3 waves of 4 times 2 (years) plus GREEN ARROW.

As the resident Chartered Accountant here...I'd say 33 in all.

(GA + 4 waves at 4 each x 4 more waves in year two)

Assuming there are four waves per year.
