How will the Mattel Retro figures look in 20 years?

    Think superman cape will fray?
    How about zombie colored faces?
    The "S"...will it last?
    Can the boots crack?
Are the buttons going to get loose?

How about Lex and the others?

While it's obvious Mattel doesn't have all the bugs worked out, I'd think in terms of actual materials (quality of plastic and paint and such) they'd hold up pretty well. I doubt they're using recycled plastic from India. The boots might have me a little worried 'cause they're kind of rubbery.

Don't think the cape can fray or the boots can crack, loosing the "S" or zombie face could happen I guess

I have a feeling the bodies will all have had their band break ... but the suits will still look good lol.

The cape is sewn at the edges so no cape fray

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

One question guys,..since i dont have any yet (SURE WISH I DID ), and read that their waist kind a wobble,...what if you remove the outfit and twist around the upper body, and place back the suit,..would that make the figure tighter at the waist?????? just curious.....

It's not the tightness of the bands, it's the fact that the waist joint isn't designed well. The bottom of the torso does not match up with the hip socket, so it slides around a bit.

As for holding up, I imagine they will be about on par with the Famous Covers figures. Emblems will look all stretched and shredded and the fabric looks like it gets pulls very effortlessly, but the bands are thick cloth woven elastic. The only reason why they should break is due to bad stitching.

I imagine there's going to be a number of broken heads though. My GA head snapped right off while being gently handled by an adult, in the hands of a child...... doomed.
