This was definitely at the top of my grail list, if not THE top item on the list. A FREAKING CIPSA TREEHOUSE! I had Arturo in Mexico looking for it and he found one. Arturo is DA MAN! When I write my memoirs, I will have a chapter titled "The Mexican Connection"!

Now all I need is a tree house gift set to complete my tree house collection. Anyone have one they might want to sell?

Here it is. The box is certainly not in perfect condition, but still in much better condition than I ever expected to own. The set itself is in great condition. I will be setting it up soon. Can anyone say "MegoCIPSA Tree House card"??!! This will be a blast to setup to simulate the box art with my loose figures for the card. MegoCIPSA card #6, here we come!

Thanks Arturo! Actually thanks aren't enough.

Congrats man. Can't see much of the box, but that one side looks in pretty darn good shape, with vibrant colors.

Congrats - that's a gorgeous piece.

Do you know if the Cispa artwork was inspired by the POTA cartoon show?

Big congrats man, that's an awesome piece. I love that box art. Are there any differences in the treehouse itself compared to the Mego one, i.e. any different colours or materials used for any of the pieces? Are all the same accessories included?

Sweet! Congrats.

I have the same curiousity at cjeffreys, but the artwork makes it look pretty similar to the U.S. version. Well, at WHAT it includes. Those items may be different.

It feels great, thanks Clem and everyone. Here are some photos for the curious to show the differences.

The major difference is that the main pieces are not vinyl covered cardboard, but cardboard printed to have the "log" look. This is a little cheaper but nice because you do not have to worry about the vinyl warping/wrinkling. And these are in real good shape. There is wear at the score areas where it folds, but no creases.

The majority of the structure is the same except the plastic is a darker, redder brown than the Mego version

The box is in really good condition compared to what I was expecting. The other side has a tiny little bit of litho tear and the one end flap needs a repair, but the other flap is great. All in all, I am very happy with it. Also forgot to mention that, while it has definitely been setup before, the parts did come in the original plastic bags inside the box. Again, I wasn't expecting that.

Congrats! You should scan in the cardboard pieces to have on file.

The box art looks like he is pointing to the fire rather than to the cage. "This human burned our pants in the fire!"

Do you know if the Cispa artwork was inspired by the POTA cartoon show?

I don't think the CIPSA artwork was inspired by RETURN anymore than the MEGO drawings were (and they weren't)...

I'm really not super familiar with the Apes line and the variants, but that is one of the coolest looking playsets I think I've ever seen. The artwork on the box is to die for. Congrats!!!

Yes, I was quite surprised when Arturo informed me he found it. I would have been ecstatic with just the set. The box pretty was too much to ask for but Arturo came through for me. That artwork is killer

Pretty neat variation. Amazing that it's not all bent up being just cardboard. I'd love to find one but I know that probably ain't never gonna happen. I already have the original POTA one and Dinah's Beach House and next on my list is AJ's.
