View Full Version : I Can't Take Off The Mask

I've been looking at some ideas for a new avatar tonight and I've discovered something. I've been Klytus for so long that I can't bear to use an avatar that isn't Klytus. I just can't take off the mask. I've considered various pictures of my son, pictures of Alice Cooper, and pictures of me. But I just can't bear the thought of using any avatar but Klytus. Now that I think about it, I don't want to be anything but Klytus. I just can't. He's my Mego Museum identity.
Has anyone else had this problem?

you could just find a different pic of that Dr. Doom knockoff, Klytus. :) Maybe that would satisfy the new avatar urge.

I've thought about doing it, too. I just don't think I can top the current one. ;)

Hey,
Same problem here. Been Kid Flash since I joined many many moons ago. When more avatars became available, I scrolled through them and thought many of them were really cool. But I never could hit the button and change my avatar. To me, it has BECOME me on the site.

I've been Shrek for almost 5 years. I've thought about changing, but just can't. I've changed Shrek's once, but have had this last one for probably 3 years. I changed it for about 10 minutes when we got the new forums, but couldn't deal. Had to go back to my old one. It just didn't feel right.

I was briefly the Magnetic Batman and 12" Movie Superman before using my own Earth 2 Robin custom as my avatar. I thought I'd switch things up here on the new forum, so I used a cool Jim Aparo panel of E2R. I may change again later, but from now on, it will always be an E2R image. I just can't stand myself!!!

I love this picture of Punkin, it's wonderful.
I have gotten bored and thought of changing mine, but then I decide I like it all over again...

I think Mike (T1K) suggested Clark as an avatar for me about 5 years ago. It s just seems so fitting, I can't seem to find one worth changing to.

I'm glad it isn't just me. I'm in good company.

I've been Mr. Mxyztplk since the beginning!
There was no Hulk Avatar, just an angry Big Jim, so I used that until I was allowed to use a custom one. I made mine using a picture of my own Hulk figure. I also had Hollywood and Hulk Hogan avatars loaded just to keep people guessing occasionally, but rarely used them.
This latest version is the same Hulk figure, just a different angle.

Nope, definitely not just you. When I joined I borrowed the Rocketeer helmet for the longest time while I searched for a more Teen Titans related image. After a lot of hunting and begging, I got my brother to photoshop my favorite issue cover into this one. So, even though I don't have the history that a lot of you have here, I already cannot imagine using anything else. At least, not for a long, long time.

I've switched Goblin avatars, but I couldn't switch to a completely different character.
I used Mario with a lightsaber that a friend made for me over at Rebelscum since 2002, funny note the lightsaber used to go off and on, but it looked perversed with the blade going in and out.
When we got the new forums I started useing him here. On the old boards I used Godzilla, a Batman, then Lone Ranger. I loved the Lone Ranger one and would go back to using that one here if I got off my lazy rear and looked for it again.
