    Info On This Truck

I doubt it, but I figured I'd ask- Does anyone know any info behind this; if other companies were made, etc. I just picked up another with a blue cab and the department store "Two Guys" on the side. They both say "Yatming" "Made In Hong Kong" on the bottom.

I assume they were smaller contracts as both stores were more regional stores (though Kiddie City's owners, Lionel, had stores across the country under other names like Play World, Toy City Toy Town and others.)

I have strong nostalgic ties with both and was wondering what else might be out there.

    WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

They resemble some older Shop-Rite trucks ....

Wonder if the same company made them all.

I have a truck like that packed away somewhere from the Canadian farm supply store chain "Peavey Mart". Its a brown cab, with an orange trailer..otherwise I'd say identical.

              You loved Two Guys? Naturally!

Wow. I don't do matchbox anymore, the exception being a boxed Planet Scout as it was a childhood favorite - nice one you have in your pic, there! But I think I might have to start hunting for those trucks too.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I don't know what a Planet Scout is. The green one? I just grabbed a handfull of matchbox cars at a flea market for my random 70's shelf.

I used to have a Hess truck. I know a lot of hardware store and major grocery chains used to offer those trucks around Christmas time.
