I'm a very happy camper. I wanted this for Xmas (it was back in December in case you forgot) but because of the high price tag of $249.00, I didn't even ask for it because of household finanacial issues. So a couple of days ago I found it as a BIN on Ebay (brand new and unopened) and scored it for less than $100 with free shipping. It arrived today and ... well ... I'm just very very happy. I had to share!

Nice! As a confirmed audio-nut and Beatle person, I've been complaining about the sound of the original Beatles CDs for years. These new remasters are SO GREAT.
Have fun!
Biggest "remaster"surprise for me... Sgt Pepper. Not even one of my favorite albums, but the clarity and improved resolution is SO great.

WOW.. GREAT SCORE..!
I wasn't going to invest in any.. just downloading the mono mix mp3s I've been waiting for like Pepper.., but what a NICE value. :licklips:
I'm glad they compiled released all the separate little DVD files as a hour program ("Beatles on Record") ~ I put it on my iPod prior to coming over to Kuwait here.

Sgt Pepper is the first one I listened to and I was amazed. There are so many sounds and things I've never heard before. Unfortunately I have one tiny complaint. Many years ago I listened to the very first release on vinyl. As the "Sgt. Pepper Reprise" comes to a close I could distinctly hear Paul saying something over John's vocals on the final three words "hearts... club... band" just before going into "A Day in the Life"
I have never heard these words clearly on any version of the album since. Not even on this remastered version. Over the many years It's become so distorted, faded and unintelligible that you wouldn't know it's there if you weren't looking for it. I was hoping this remastered version would have cleaned it up so you could actually hear it again. It's only faintly there and just sounds like it's been erased. Maybe it's because this is the stereo version and perhaps it's only on the Mono version, I don't know.

Yeah, I believe you're referring to Paul yelling some lyrics and that's on the Mono version, clear as day. That's one of the many crazy differences!

Awesome. I have most of the CDs already and didn't think it was feasable to start replacing them with these. But at under $100! I can do that. I'm torn between the stereo and mono versions. Anyone know what the significant difference is?
