Picked this up at the TwoMorrows booth in Chicago, I always grab something at their booth because it helps pass the time on the trip home.

This issue is specifically about Roy Thomas at Marvel, one thing about this magazine in the past is that I've grown to dislike Roy the Boy. He can come off as bitter and snotty at times, however this article was light on such things (a little comes through) and offers some interesting insight into Marvel's "Bronze Age" so to speak.

Worth a Read.

I guess Roy has accomplished enough in the comics field to be a tad arrogant and snotty, but it does get a bit tiresome. I really like his insight into things, but I wish he'd curb his dislike for others work a bit. In particular, his All-Star Companion books are fantastic, but if he's talking about something from the past 30 years that he didn't write, he treats it as non-canonical and not really mattering.

On the other hand, he's given me lots of hours of entertainment, so I can cut the guy some slack. I'll have to pick this up.

Yeah that's a good Issue I liked it a lot grew up reading some of Roy's work. I love reading alter ego always a great read.

Hey Brian did you pick up issue 71...Most of the issue is dedicated to the Great Comic books from Canada. It's an awesome read!

Yeah, you kind of hit it on the head with my issue with him. I enjoy his take on the books themselves but he can lack decorum when discussing other professionals, he comes off as having a chip on his shoulder.

His Bill Everet piece was marred because he was slagging him for stuff he did when they were room mates! I get it, he lost you your cleaning deposit but he's also been dead for 30 years.......

Oddly enough, I complained that Stan Lee's book was too jovial and sweet.

Oh Lord, the Penguin! When I was a kid, the only book on comics the local library had was one on Canadian heroes, I'm familiar with most of them. I have to get this.

Thanks for that pic, been looking for a good reference on Mr. Monster. I used to subscribe to A/E, but couldn't take Thomas's writing or editorial views anymore.
